Organizational Letters

Hello All! I have just finnished my drafts for my letters to send out to my three linked organizations...tell me what you think!!!

Letter to GASP (Group Against Smog and Pollution):

Dear Rachel,

I am a 19 year-old student enrolled at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. I am currently taking a class called analytic and persuasive writing. This class requires me to write a research paper on a topic that I am truly interested in. After some critical thinking, I came across the idea to write about global warming and the lack of national political action. While doing research for this topic, I came across your website: Group Against Smog and Pollution. I am truly moved by your wishes in order obtain a substantial, clean air living environment for the public. For the past 38 years, your group has truly been an asset to western Pennsylvania community.
My purpose for writing was the goal to obtain some more information on your group. I also wish that GASP would propose its ideas, values and standards nationally. Seeing GASP make a countrywide impact would really be something for me, and for the area of western Pennsylvania. One of your methods for achieving your mission’s goal was to be involved responsibly; I believe you are letting a great chance slip away if you do not act and act quickly on the Bush Administration. If GASP can receive many awards from such prestigious resources such as TIME, United Nations Magazine and Wall Street Journal, than it can accomplish the ability to lobby for clean air in this country. Thank you for your time.
Take Care,

Derek Hall

Letter to Campus Greens:

Dear Sam,
I am a 19 year-old student enrolled at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. I am currently taking a class called analytic and persuasive writing. This class requires me to write a research paper on a topic that I am truly interested in. After some critical thinking, I came across the idea to write about global warming and the lack of national political action. While doing research for this topic, I came across your organization: Campus Greens. I must say it is well appreciated to see what kind of good you are doing for all the student body in the nation. While all of the certain issues your organization wishes to address are considered necessary, I am truly interested on what issues your organization faces against the environment.
I am writing to ask for more information on your community of students and what the organization plans on doing to address the issue on global warming. If you could write back and explain what differences I could make towards the green party, I will be well appreciative towards your kind motives. I sure do hope you will respond and thank you for your time.

Take Care,

Derek Hall

Letter to Environmental Defense:

To Whom it May Concern:
I am a 19 year-old student enrolled at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. I am currently taking a class called analytic and persuasive writing. This class requires me to write a research paper on a topic that I am truly interested in. After some critical thinking, I came across the idea to write about global warming and the lack of national political action. While doing research for this topic, I came across your website: Environmental Defense. While looking through your website, I realized how informative and how influential your website is to the general public. This website can give the facts to the reader without any sort of affiliation or nonsense to go with it. The steps the defense is taking towards the betterment of the environment is outstanding. Not enough can be said about helping Federal Express put out hybrid trucks in order to still be efficient in the postal service, but also fuel efficient.
The reason I am writing is to ask for more information on your program and what the defense plans on doing to influence the white house that global warming is happening and action against the issue needs to be provided. I hope that you write back and I thank you for your time.

Take Care,

Derek Hall

I think that we should double team the government and you tell them that the they need to work harder on solving global warming, and I'll suggest wind energy as the alternative.... it could work!

Good letters, hope you are able to get some responses!
