Timed Writing: Project Three
My topic for project three deals with global warming and the lack of political action done by congress. I used five references in order to add the certain zest on my paper in order to get my message across. There are some various ways in order to establish this message and get positive feedback and possibly persuade some opinions.
In order to distribute my topic across the world, why not use no other tool than the worldwide web. During our project, we created a blog. A blog is an online journal that can be reviewed by anyone online. My blog consist of my research paper, and some other tools. The research paper is the main point to my entire concept of global warming. It consists of six paragraphs, a refutation and of course a conclusion. This paper took me nearly three weeks in order to write and all of my physical and emotional effort was put into this essay.
Some of these tools are a few organizations that advocate my research topic. I decided to write to these organizations. I told them that they have my support 100 percent of the way. These letters were also posted on my blog and received a few comments. These letters had professional headings and consisted f all my contact information in order to hopefully have discussions in the not too distant future.
While making this blog, I wondered on ways I could reach out to the youth of the world in order for the children to grasp my opinion on the lack of political action done to prevent global warming. After some brainstorming, I decided to give some fifth graders a reading comprehension story. The story is about two polar bears at the north pole who go on a journey to Washington D.C. in order to discuss with the president on what he needs to do in order to keep the polar bears from being on the verge of extinction. At the end of this story, I listed three questions in order for the students to grasp global warming.
I personally thought that the three texts that I used, the blog, the letters, and the reading comprehension packet are some good starting point in order for the world to hear my voice. The reading comprehension packet for the fifth graders may be a little more difficult for the kids to understand since global warming is such a tough topic to grasp. I sure do hope that the organizations that I have composed letters to decide to send me some information back, or possibly feedback on my blog. They must be extremely impressed with my efforts in order to let the world know that I want to be it’s caretaker, since no one in D.C. really wants to be.
